🧪 Mix up a mysterious goo that breaks every rule. It's solid when you punch it and liquid when you pour it.

Then... RUN ACROSS A GIANT TROUGH OF IT.

What Students Will Do

🧪 Mix Your Own Oobleck - Cornstarch + water = the weirdest stuff on earth. Squish it, squeeze it, watch it ooze between your fingers
👊 Punch It! - Slam your fist into it - SOLID! Let your hand rest - it sinks like quicksand! Fast = hard, slow = gooey
🔊 Speaker Dance Party - Watch oobleck come alive on a speaker! Turn up the bass and watch alien fingers grow and dance to the music
🏃 THE TROUGH RUN - The main event! Sprint across 6 feet of oobleck and it holds you up. Stop moving and you SINK!
🏠 Make It At Home - Take home a cornstarch packet and recipe card to make oobleck with your family

🤯 It Breaks the Rules - Most stuff is either solid OR liquid. Oobleck is BOTH - it depends on how you touch it!
⚡ Fast = Solid, Slow = Liquid - Punch it and it's rock hard. Poke it gently and your finger slides right through
🎵 Sound Makes It Dance - Bass frequencies make oobleck form wild, alien shapes. It looks alive!

Solids hold their shape. Liquids flow. Oobleck does both - challenging what kids think they know about matter.

How you touch something matters! Fast force = solid response. Slow force = liquid response.

📏 6-Foot Trough - Custom-built from 2x4 lumber with a tarp liner. Big enough to run across!
🌿 Outdoor Preferred - Best done outside on grass. Indoor option available with extensive tarps
💧 Restaurant Supply Cornstarch - 50-80 lbs of cornstarch per session from bulk restaurant suppliers
📋 Oversized Drop Cloth - The trough gets an extra-large perimeter cloth because dripping toes go EVERYWHERE
🔊 Big Sound - Bluetooth speaker or subwoofer makes the oobleck dance and form wild shapes

100% Non-Toxic - It's cornstarch and water! Completely safe if it gets in mouths (just tastes boring)
Eyes Protected - We keep hands away from eyes during play - cornstarch can sting if rubbed in
One at a Time - Trough runs are one student at a time with an instructor spotting at each end
Slip Protection - Oversized drop cloths and rinse stations prevent slippery oobleck footprints
Mess Plan - We bring rinse buckets (or use your hose!) so kids are clean before heading back inside
